TV Host Ricki Lake Files for Divorce, Indicates She Will Pay Spousal Support
Emmy award winning Television host Ricki Lake has recently filed for divorce from her husband Christian Evans, and it’s looking like she wants the case to be wrapped up as quickly as possible.
The documents, which were filed on October 16, cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, and claims that they have already been legally separated since October 9.
The two have only been married for two and a half years, having become engaged in August 2011. The two never had any children together, although Ricki does have two children from a previous marriage, making the split easy as far as child custody goes.
The divide of property should also go smoothly, as well. A prenuptial agreement that the two signed will protect most of Ricki’s assets, and the filed documents also mention a written agreement concerning the rest of their property.
As far as alimony goes, Ricki realizes that she was the breadwinner of the family, and she has already agreed to pay Christian spousal support.
